Last night at a large meeting room of our university, about thirty students, including me, joined a seminarwhere an experienced lecturer told us about the necessity and some methods of career planning.
In this seminar, there were some important tips taught. First of all, career planning was the beginning of our life after graduation. As the world-renowned saying goes, “Well begun is half done”, making a relatively²well-prepared plan mattered a lot. After that, the lecturer said that we needed to fully understand where we were and who we wanted to be. To be specific, the profession and possible future development were things that we should make effort to know by asking employees in the same area, actively searching for career information, or trying as many internship3 opportunities as possible to experience the workplace in advance.
In the end, all of us received wishes from the lecturer. He told us seriously that no one was supposed to overlook5 the crucial role that career planning played and hoped that we can find the most suitable and promising6professions.
